WE’RE BACK. July 3, 2021.
What You Need To Know
We have scheduled our new celebration for Saturday, July 3, 2021 at the University of Notre Dame. The ceremony will still begin at 1PM at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart with a 5PM cocktail hour followed by dinner and dancing at the Downes Club in Notre Dame Stadium.
We will follow all COVID-19 protocols set in place by the University of Notre Dame for our event to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all of our guests. Unfortunately, the university has mandated a cap on guest headcount which has affected the number of invitations we have been able to extend. We apologize to our guests and are disappointed that all of our friends and family are not able to celebrate with us. For those in attendance, masks will be required at all wedding events except when eating and drinking. While this is not ideal nor our first choice, the health and safety of friends, family, and the community at large are of paramount importance to us and we ask for our guests understanding and cooperation.
We have sent out new invitations for this summer. Please follow this link to RSVP once you have received your new invitation. Please be sure to RSVP even if you had previously RSVP’d in 2020.
Push-Ups, Donuts, and Pretty White Pearls
It was October 1st, 2016. All was not right with the world. The Fighting Irish football team’s luster had faded quickly from an opening showdown at Texas to the most recent dose of medicine in the form of back breaking defensive busts at the hands of the Dukies. Next up; a mediocre 9:00 am PT matinee vs the Minute Maid Men from Syracuse.

Now What?
Pretty White Pearls went home with the rest of them leaving Push-Ups with an afterimage and a dilemma. What to do next? Ever a millennial of action, Push-Ups fired up the Facebook machine, cued up a friend request, and immediately got cold feet. Would it be weird? He was just now making friends in a new place and did not want to spoil anything within the budding group. Push-Ups paced the living room floor playing through all the scenarios and tangents. Until he was saved by the bell or in this case, a cellular chime. Pearls had beaten him to the punch…
Excited by the prospect of developing her group of alumni friends, Pearls had uncharacteristically made the first move. Push-ups’ enthusiasm and school spirit had stood out from the crowd and Pearls hadn’t failed to notice the effort required to knock out those 50 celebratory push-ups. Notre Dame game watches are for cheers, yells, and sometimes boos. Without time or opportunity for real conversation, Pearls and Push-Ups both found themselves wanting to know more.

DATING
From here our story enters a bit of a montage phase. We have had many adventures and lazy afternoons. We have raced go carts, climbed volcanic craters, and tried all the ice cream (Sunni Sky’s FTW). We learned a great deal about each other. We have disagreed, celebrated, fought, cried, and said I love you. Our next chapter begins in early 2018 when we both began to discuss the potential of getting married and if that was what we both wanted for ourselves and each other.
SHE SAID YES
