TEAM STEELE

Nicole Barba, MATRON OF HONOR

Jane’s college roommate and close friend. From giggly sleep-deprived study sessions to half-marathons, she’s been with me through it all. Currently in law school at Notre Dame (Double Domer, here she comes!), Nicole has always inspired me with her passion to pursue what she wants. Being a part of her wedding was such an incredible honor and I am so grateful that she will be beside me for mine.

Cameron Steele, BEST MAN

Nate’s brother and best friend. Recent stops in Tasmania and New York City have led to a new gig in sales back in the Raleigh area. Cam, I am inspired by your determination every day. You have always been my partner in crime and I’m honored to have you with me up there on the altar. Team Steele baby!

JENNIFer JONES, Maid of Honor

Jane’s college roommate, fellow retired Teacher’s Assistant and close friend. Despite her always pranking me, she is one of my most trusted confidants. She’s even gone on vacation with my family. We’ve done so much together over the years and now we’re planning our weddings together.

Sean Fitzgerald, Groomsman

Sean is a day 1 Dillonite. Shared exploits include but are not limited to: starring in my student films, Mario Cart Showdowns, Co-Rec Soccer, and hospital ER trips for soccer related injuries. Sean and I have both worked to remain close in the post college world and being able to stand with him and Erin at their wedding was an immense honor. Sean is a loyal friend who I am honored to have on Team Steele.

Bo Yoo, Bridesmaid

Fellow Notre Dame alumna and Bay Area resident. Bo and I met during our study-abroad adventures in Spain and have stayed friends as she moved to CA to pursue her PhD at Stanford. We have had so much fun exploring new places and new experiences together. From the first days of mine and Nate’s relationship to sneakily helping me prepare for the proposal she intuited was coming, Bo has been a part of it all. Thank you for always being there for me, especially this July!

Matthew McCurdy, Groomsman

It is a strong lineup from top to bottom over here on Team Steele folks and Matt is no exception. Easily the most organized and detail oriented member of the Dillon Hall contingent, Matt was always the first person to look at an idea and find a way to make it happen. From Bullwinkles to Hawaii, we’ve seen so much and I can’t wait to have you with me this July.

Maria McGuire, Bridesmaid

Fellow Notre Dame alumna and Bay Area resident. Maria and I met when she would come to CA to visit her brother (Nate’s roommate at the time). Maria has since moved to the area and works as an elementary school teacher. We have bonded the past few years over game nights, football (watches and games), The Bachelor viewing parties, brunches and more. Maria, you have been an amazing friend over what has been a very unpredictable year and I can’t wait to have you at our wedding!

Joe Peluso, Groomsman

Joe is a slam dunk first round talent here on Team Steele. While he does not hail from Dillon Hall; he is a true and loyal son of Our Lady’s University. From Fifa and the Joe Hart Cafe, to the Kentucky Derby and beyond; we’ve been everywhere man, we’ve been everywhere. Anyone should be lucky to have a friend like Joe in their corner and I consider myself honored to have him with me.

Noah McGuinness, Brother of the Bride

Jane’s only brother. No longer the annoying little sibling I sometimes still think of him as, Noah is now excelling on his engineering work at Princeton and will be graduating this spring. From our silly imaginary games as children to the deeper conversations we can now share, I have loved watching you grow up and mature. I can’t imagine bringing a new member into my family without having you there by my side.

Michael and Nate at wedding photo.jpg

Michael Simon, Groomsman

Michael is by far the most tenured member of Team Steele with well over 20 years of friendship in the books. My childhood PIC has grown into a great man who I was honored to stand with at his wedding, and an even greater honor to be asked to be the Godfather to he and Faye’s son, Joseph. Naturally I have to have him right there with me too this July. Wouldn’t be right any other way. Watch out world, Team Steele is laying down the law!

John Quinn, Groomsmen

John is a veteran of Brown Court where many great memories were made and lifelong friendships forged #DooleysForever. Also Jane and I met there..but I digress. The man mixes a finer cocktail than James Bond, bleeds blue and gold, and is as great a friend as a man could ask for. He and Bo have become wonderful friends to both Jane and I with many adventures in the books and many more to come. John, so grateful to have you with me this July!

Nate and Mack Graduation Photo.jpg

Macklin Wagner, Groomsman

Macklin was the first of the randomly assigned college roommates I made contact with via Facebook after getting into Notre Dame. Some providential computer algorithm knew what it was doing as we have never looked back. Mack was a undoubted draftee of Team Steele and a veteran of too many shared adventures to count here. Can’t wait to have you with me Mack!

Josh Dempsey, Groomsman

Josh Flubadub Heaterz Dempsey aka The REV. The man who Jane and I tapped to preside at our civil ceremony last summer. If you want to understand this friendship then all I can say is do the following: Order some pad thai from Thaibodia, crack a cold one, cue up Clamavi De Profundis on your Spotify, flip on Clone Wars, and play some War In The North.
